The Evaluating exponent expressions word problems exercise appears under the 6th grade (U.S.) Math Mission. This exercise consists of word problems that practice evaluating exponential expressions by the exponent rules.

Types of Problems

There is one type of problem in this exercise:

  1. Solve the word problem: This problem describes a situation, sometimes accompanied with a picture, that requires the evaluation of an exponent to solve. The student is expected to solve the word problem and provide the solution in the appropriate space.

    Solve the word problem

This exercise is easy to get accuracy badges because the problems themselves are familiar by this stage in mathematics. The speed badges are hard because the problems can take some time to read and be careful.

  1. The types of word problems are common to many mathematical applications, such as volume.
