The Solving ratio problems with tables exercise appears under the 6th grade (U.S.) Math Mission, Pre-algebra Math Mission and Mathematics I Math Mission. This exercise uses table to assist better understanding of ratios.
Types of Problems[]
There are three different types of problems in this exercise:
- Fill in chart: This problem basically provides a situation and a chart with some blanks. The user is asked to fill in the chart with the missing information.

This exercise is medium to get accuracy badges because of the time involved, especially if one is trying to go quickly. The speed badges should be considered hard at this time until users can develop some better tips.
- The charts can be filled in more easily by concentrating user's efforts there and using multiplication.
- After the charts are complete, answering the questions is simple by comparing relative sizes.
Real-life Applications[]
- Rates and ratios are prevalent in much of the sciences, such as stoichiometry.
- Several of the problems in this exercise can be viewed as real-life applications.
- Comparing unit rates is useful for anyone that has to shop to buy food items for their household.
