|Graphing points and naming quadrants|
|Exercise Name:||Graphing points and naming quadrants|
|Math Missions:||6th grade (U.S.) Math Mission, Algebra basics Math Mission|
|Types of Problems:||1|
The Graphing points and naming quadrants exercise appears under the 6th grade (U.S.) Math Mission and Algebra basics Math Mission. This exercise practices the Cartesian coordinate plane with naming and plotting points.
Types of Problems
There is one type of problem in this exercise:
- Plot the point, name the quadrant: This problem has a manipulative and provides a point. The user is asked to correctly plot the point and then name the quadrant in which it falls.
Basic knowledge of the Cartesian coordinate graphing plane is needed to complete this exercise. Accuracy badges and speed badges are reasonable because there is only one type of problem which can be done quickly.
- Choose which direction to go first, and be consistent for the speed badges.
- Touchpad is harder to work with then mouse on this exercise for speed badges.
- Graphing can be used to measure stocks, insurance, and accounting.
