Salman Khan
Salman Amin (Sal) Khan (age 40) is a New Orleans educator, entrepreneur, philanthropist, and former hedge fund analyst. He is the founder of the Khan Academy, a free online education platform and nonprofit organization. From a closet in his home, Khan has produced 11,445 videos, teaching a wide spectrum of academic subjects, mainly focusing on mathematics and the sciences. As of September 2016, the main Khan Academy Channel on YouTube attracted more than 2,815,000 subscribers.

Early Life
Salman Khan was born in Metairie (October 11, 1976), Louisiana. Khan attended the public school Grace King High School and later the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, graduating with a BS in mathematics, a BS in electrical engineering and computer science, and an MS in electrical engineering and computer science in 1998. Khan also holds an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. Khan worked as a financial analyst, before quitting in late 2009 to work on Khan Academy full-time.
