Description | |
Exercise Name: | Solve problems with line plots 1 |
Math Missions: | Early math Math Mission |
Types of Problems: | 2 |
The first instance of the Solve problems with line plots 1 exercise is under the Early math Math Mission. This exercise asks student to analyze and consider creating a line plot.
Types of Problems
There are two types of problems in this exercise:
- Use line plot to answer: This problem has a line plot drawn that the student is to use to answer a given problem.
- Consider making line plot: This problem asks a student to take a chart of data and consider how they would use that information to make a line plot.
Strategies
This exercise is easy to get accuracy badges and speed badges. The problems are predictable and the numbers are small.
- On problem type two, if the chart is in the problem just count the number of times the number of interest occurs. This would be the height of the plot in the line plot.
Real-life Applications
- Measurement is important for taking proper medicine. If one has an illness (whether serious or minor) they need to take their medicine and take it in the proper amount. If they take too little or too much then they are not going to get the proper benefit from it.
